Wonderful Travel Tips For The First Time Traveler To London

If you have never been to London, there are certain places that are a must see when visiting this lovely European city in England. According to some window cleaners South London, a visitstop to see the Tower of London is fun particularly for families with teenage boys who love the gruesome tales of Bloody Mary. Other sites to visit would be the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace, the Big Ben clock tower, the British museum and the newest addition is the London Eye which is even higher than some window cleaners West London have to go up in the sky.

The first thing you should do when in London is to head towards Buckingham Palace to witness the changing of the guards. The Royal mounted police enter in a parade before the guards change their places in their orderly marching ways. It is a fun way to experience some of the royal palace and to see these red coated guards up closein action. If you are lucky enough to visit in August or September then you may also be permitted to take a tour inside the palace as that is when the Queen is gone on her summer vacation. Also when strolling around London, one of the infamous sites that people think of when there is the famous clock tower known as Big Ben. This is a part of the Houses of Parliament and a lot of people like to take pictures of it on their visit.

The next place to see is the Tower of London which is the place where many executions happened to many prisoners. It has a large collection of medieval armour worn by Henry VIII and people may go through the different medieval buildings where the prisoners were held and even killed. This area also has the Crown of Jewels holding all of the gemstones of the Royal family as well as crowns and anything else that may be decorated in fine gemstones. The famous Beefeaters are scattered around the grounds which is a fun thing to see as well up close.

The British Museum is a must see when visiting London as it has an amazing collection of world art and historical artifacts represented. Their Egyptian collection as well as their Roman ruins are very impressive. One of the things it is famous for is also having the famous Rosetta Stone and can be seen as you enter the museum. For a more modern thing to see, take a ride on the London Eye which is a huge Ferris wheel overlooking the whole city. It is quite costly, but most kids love it and it does give the tallest view of London which is wonderful.

Before you leave London, make certain to stop in their most famous store called Harrods. Leave yourself a considerable amount of time as it is huge and could take hours to see the whole place. If you are low on time, just head directly to the food floor which is abundant with every type of food you could ever imagine .
