Must See Sites To See When Going On A Vacation To London

If you have never visited London, there are certain places that are a must see when going to this beautiful European city in England. According to some window cleaners South London, a visitstop to see the Tower of London is great especially for families with teenage boys who enjoy the gruesome tales of Bloody Mary. Other sites to visit would be the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace, the Big Ben clock tower, the British museum and the most recent London Eye which is even higher than some window cleaners West London have to go up in the air.

The first event you should see in London is to head to Buckingham Palace to witness the changing of the guards. The Royal mounted police enter in a parade before the guards officially change in their orderly marching ways. It is a fun way to experience some of the royal palace and to see these red coated guards up closein action. If you are lucky enough to be in London in August or September then you may also be permitted to take a tour inside the palace as that is when the Queen is gone on her summer vacation. Also when walking around London, one of the monumental sites that people think of when in London is the famous clock tower known as Big Ben. This is a part of the Houses of Parliament and a lot of people like to take pictures of it on their visit.

The next place to see is the Tower of London which holds the site where many executions happened to many prisoners. It has a big collection of medieval armour worn by Henry VIII and visitors can go through the different medieval buildings where the prisoners were held and even executed. This place also has the Crown of Jewels holding all of the Royal jewelry as well as crowns and anything else that may be covered in fine gemstones. The famous Beefeaters are scattered around the grounds which is a fun thing to see also up close.

The British Museum is a must see when visiting London as it has an amazing collection of world art and historical artifacts represented. Their collection from acnient Egypt as well as their Roman ruins are quite impressive. One of the things it is famous for is also having the famous Rosetta Stone and can be seen as you enter the museum. For a more modern thing to see, take a ride on the London Eye which is a huge Ferris wheel overlooking all of London. It is quite expensive, but most children love it and it does give the highest view of the city which is wonderful.

Before you leave London, be sure to stop in their most famous store called Harrods. Leave yourself a considerable amount of time as it is enormous and could take hours to see the entire store. If you are low on time, just go right to the food floor which is abundant with every kind of food you could ever want .
